The Leica Sofort 2 is an elegant, compact hybrid instant camera that allows you to store and/or print photos digitally. The new camera is essentially a digital camera that prints on paper, much like Fujifilm's Instax Mini Evo and Kodak's Mini Shot 3.
The new camera, available from November, is a successor to the original Sofort released in 2019.
Leica said in a press release.. Decades ago, the instant printed photo symbolized acceleration, while now it represents a moment of caution and relief as a contrast to today's fast-paced world.
It is no wonder that the fascination with instant photography is reviving, and now Leica Camera AG introduces the second generation of their instant camera with the Leica Sofort 2. This hybrid camera seamlessly combines fleeting digital moments with the enduring analog world.
Among the new features of the Sofort 2 is especially the option to permanently save digital photos and choose the best shots before you print them.
This includes all photos on your smartphone and taken with other Leica cameras, which are already saved in the gallery of the seamlessly connected Leica Fotos App and can be transferred to the camera for printing as instant photos.
Just pull the manual print lever on the camera and seconds later you have the Instax Mini-sized photo paper print in your hands on Leica's exclusive photo paper with a warm white or gold frame.
