Hanko, Finland Marshalling Yard

The pipe end caps protect the pipes against corrosion and keep the insides clean while they are stored. A Radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip is also incorporated into the end cap for the purpose of identifying and tracking each pipe segment. A EUPEC employee reads the RFID-chip with a reader to track it.
