From the coupe's 300SL inspired gullwing doors to the hand built 583 hp V8 engine roaring under that absurdly long hood, the SLS AMG GT is absolutely a car that belongs on a poster. In fact, the SLS is the first car designed and built entirely in-house at AMG, Mercedes' speed-focused research department.
There is, however, another contender at least temporarily. That is the 2014 SLS AMG Black Series, an SLS AMG GT coupe featuring a souped-up version of the 6.2-liter V8 with 622 hp that breaks the magical 100 hp-per liter barrier for naturally aspirated engines, partly thanks to a special redline at 8,000 rpm. Dressed in a large rear spoiler, widened fenders, and a wider front and rear track, the souped-up SLS Black looks like a race car.
