The SSC Ultimate Aero is a mid-engine sports car that was produced by SSC North America (formerly known as Shelby SuperCars) from 2004 to 2013. According to Guinness World Records, the SSC Ultimate Aero held the world record for the highest speed of a production car in 2007 with an official speed of 255 mph (410 km/h).
The SSC Ultimate Aero was not equipped with electronic driver aids such as an anti-lock braking system or traction control, because, according to Jerod Shelby, the car was a true driver's car.
