What are venturi orifice steam traps?

Venturi steam traps have no moving parts and operate by continuously draining condensate from the steam system. This allows all condensate in the steam line to flow into the condensate return system immediately after it is generated.

The condensate separator’s operation is based on the difference in density between water and steam. The device is designed to handle varying steam loads and automatically adjusts its capacity via the nozzle.
