Long Welding Neck Flange Dimensions

Long Neck Welding (abbreviated LWN) flanges are basically identical to standard Welding Neck flanges, but the Neck is considerably longer. This type is often used as a nozzle for a barrel or column.

In addition, there are the type LWN Heavy Barrel (HB) and the Equal LWN Barrel (E); they have a different shape and a thicker Wall thickness.

Dimensions general

As already described above, the flange dimensions are the same as those of standard Weld Neck Flanges, when the ASME standards B16.5 and B16.47 are applied.

Generally, LWN flanges are specified in detail when ordering, because e.g. the (H) height dimension is not standardized.

Also (O.D.) Outside Diameter and (I.D.) Inside Diameter must be specified during ordering.

The dimensions below do not necessarily have to be specified if the order is placed in accordance with the above mentioned ASME standards.
