Correcting Uneven Wall Thicknesses

Differences in wall thickness cause an internal step at the weld, leading to turbulence, erosion, and a stress concentration point. This also makes X-ray inspection of the weld more difficult.

Ensure that the wall thickness of the component always matches that of the other part, especially when using butt welded components.
